July Letter

Friends
Terrorist attacks, political upheavals, financial scandals and relentless fear mongering by the media (since fear sells ads)  can leave one feeling helpless, angry, afraid or just numb- stop the world, I want to get off!

The pictures of the refugees, the orphans, widows, starving children or those affected by drought and war assault our emotions.  The  millions in sex slavery cause us to despair at the inhumanity and greed of man.  The many ministries constantly asking for money can leave one feeling helpless or just numb.  That is compassion fatigue- stop the world, I want to get off.

While you cannot help the whole world or stop it and get off,  you can be the whole world to some one.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and finances for women and children at risk in Tajikistan where we help Sergey and team with the only home for them in that nation of 7 million and for a disciple making movement there that is going house to house in areas where there has never been a follower of Jesus.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and finances for poor children in India and a disciple making movement there that has translated the Luke 10 Manual into Telugu and is praying for funds to print it and fuel the movement.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and finances for the translation and printing of the Luke 10 Manual in Swahili.  They are praying to print another 1,000 copies to fuel disciple making movements in Central Africa.  The cost to do that is only $2,000.  The testimony from there from senior denominational leaders is that the Luke 10 Manual has set them free to be the church in a whole new way!

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and finances for our friends in Kazakhstan that have just opened new houses of peace in two new villages.

Thank you for standing with in prayer and finances for friends in the Philippines who are seeing a disciple making movement move through their culture while building simple homes for elderly widows and caring for the poor.  They are translating the Luke 10 Manual into Cebuano to fuel the movement there.

The Luke 10 Manual is now being translated into Arabic and Tigrinya.  Tigrinya a language of Eritrea and an Egyptian friend regularly goes there to serve and help the suffering church there.  He wants to use the Luke 10 Manual there to encourage  the disciple making movement there.

Thank you for standing with us to translate and print the Luke 10 Manual into Urdu.  The brother who did that is pleading with us for funds to print 5,000 copies to fuel a disciple making movement there in Pakistan that is baptizing hundreds, if not thousands.  Jesus is moving!

Thank you for standing with us to translate and publish the Luke 10 Manual into Burmese but there are pleading with us to be able to print another 1,000 copies.

Thank you for reading thus far and processing another request for finances.  I trust that this does not make you want to find a way off the world but to continue to stand with us and to help.

Your brother
Steve
