Hey Dave
This week, while Christians offered prayers and
expressed condolences to victims of yet another terrorist attack, a
newspaper mocked them with a headline that read:
GOD ISN'T FIXING THIS
Obviously,
this insignificant newspaper hoped to increase its circulation by
making a cheap political point that is not only ignorant and
disrespectful, but blasphemous.
Usually it is best to ignore the
liberal media, or at least recognize the extent to which they are biased
against people of faith (especially the Christian faith).
However, it does raise an interesting question.
What good is prayer?
For some people, prayer is a last resort: "I've tried everything, all I can do now is pray!"
For others, prayer is like a fire alarm, only to be used in an emergency.
For too many, prayer is a way to manipulate God into giving them what they want.
And then you have those who say, "God knows what I need before I ask, so why pray at all?"
It seems that now, more than ever, we need clarity on these things.
I have an article that addresses all the above issues:

This will (hopefully) open your heart to the possibility of a higher purpose for prayer and give your faith a boost.
Be bold, be courageous, and be confident that God is listening and answering the prayers of the saints in these last days.
