VALUE OF ALL CHURCH REAL ESTATE IN THE US
Approximate value of all church real estate in the US: $500,000,000,000. (that’s $500 Billion with a “B”)
- Number of verses in the NT that instruct Christians to buy and own church property: 0 (that’s zero as in none)
THE ALTERNATE (BIBLICAL!) INVESTMENT
By contrast, the New Testament is quite clear as to where Christians should invest their money for the Kingdom. This alternate investment is one of the keys to seeing church planting movements develop. Imagine if the American church had invested that $500,000,000,000 in the manner that Paul instructed! I feel quite sure our country would be in a very different place spiritually.
