Why Do Atheists Go to Church?

Hasil gambar untuk atheist
Hey Dave and church,

Last week, Pew Research Center announced that "The Christian share of the U.S. population is declining, while the
number of U.S. adults who do not identify with any organized religion is growing."

Is this good news, or bad news?

Depends on whether you're focused on Religion or Relationship.

I read a magazine article once that talks about how so many atheists are attending church these days.

I thought that was interesting.

Why would an atheist care about attending church?

They said they feel that church is an important part of the social fabric of society.

It’s a community thing.

It’s a networking thing.

You can do some good and help some people and even get some motivation or inspiration.

So the most progressive, liberal people in the world recognize that church has some kind of benefit on a social level, and
they believe they can attend church without even believing in God.

Now what does it say about the state of the church system, that atheists can attend and feel quite comfortable?

The funny thing is...

A lot of Christian people go to church for the same reasons.

They go mostly for "fellowship"... which is another way of saying "Christian networking."

Which is fine, if that's what you need.

Half the people on our mailing list still attend church.

But I'm more interested in the growing number of people who have already quit going.

They love God... but they hate church.

And a lot of the time they're made to feel as if something is wrong with them by the people who still go.

That's why I put this audio series together:

FREE AT LAST: HOW TO BE A CHRISTIAN WITHOUT GOING TO CHURCH

Find out more about it here:

If you already got the teaching, thank you!

If not, be sure to check it out.

It will give you a Biblical basis for staying home on Sunday while the rest of the world goes out to socialize (or "fellowship").

Enjoy your Sunday... wherever you spend it!
