Dear LK10 Family,

Are you leading a house church?  (Or, planning to?)

Sometimes leading a house church can be lonely and confusing.  As leaders, we have questions like:  Where can I get support and encouragement?  Who can I go to for help with questions that arise?  If this is your situation, I want you to know that help is on the way.

I am thrilled to share with you that we are about to move into a new season in LK10 where I believe we will be able to provide this kind of help more than than ever before.  Let me give you some history...

The Labor Day Conference.  The Lord met us in amazing ways over the Labor Day Weekend Conference last fall.  Desiring to be good stewards of that fruit, we invited those who were leading a group (house church, Church 101 Course, etc.) to join us in an experiment.  (Experiments are one of our LK10 values.)

The Leader Hangout Experiment (Fall of 2013).  This Experiment involved four different groups of leaders using Google hangouts for a weekly 90 minute community experience.  How amazing it was to be able to see other leaders face-to-face from around the country and around the world!  Each week, we checked in, shared what we were seeing God do and prayed for each other.  It was remarkable how the Lord knit our hearts together even though we were often thousand of miles apart.  Please watch this video where several leaders reflect on their experience with these Hangouts.  Click on this link (not the photo below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndtXeZu5ueU

Regional Leader Teams (Feb/Mar of 2014).  This is the next step in our Experiment.  Beginning in February, we are forming Regional Teams that will meet every other week using Google hangouts.  These Teams are for anyone who has been through Church 101 (or the equivalent) and who is leading a house church (or planning to). If you are interested in being part of one of these Teams, read the attachment below and contact me at John.lk10@gmail.com

Why we SASHET  

From Tony and Susie Pfarr (OH).  We had a young lady visit our home church who is married with 2 children who is presently going through a very rough time trying to decide how to proceed in life regarding her marriage.  Her husband appears to be permanently locked up in a mental institute.  We were checking in and she shared what was happening in her life.  When we re-asked the question "How are you feeling?", the young lady broke down in tears.  She exclaimed that all of her friends and family have stepped up to help and gladly offered advice and direction.  But, NO ONE had ever asked her how she was feeling.  Our hearts broke over God's wisdom and his ability to demonstrate his love with one simple question.
