infectious joy

Hi Dave and church,
While you celebrate the successes with us below, please keep Burundi in your prayers which has been turned upside down by political unrest. We have many church planters and families there who have remained in this troubled nation continuing to share the Gospel.
We will be in China by mid-June where we will be training missionaries before returning home. Your partnership has been most appreciated-- and kept us going-- throughout this journey!

Infectious joy that changes lives!

baptismShared by Augustine, a church planter in Rwanda
Claudine told me she never felt so much joy. We had approached her several months earlier, shared the Good News of God’s love, and invited her to a study whereby each one is able to discover God’s word for himself or herself.
Often when we begin to meet with people like this, they tell me that they are attracted by the love they see in the house churches. They observe people sharing food together. They find people sharing problems together and trying to help one another. They see people visiting others who are sick and caring for each other.
After three months, Claudine said that she believed all the things God was showing her. She had no understanding before about God because no one sat and talked with her about these things before. She didn’t understand before how much God loved her. She asked to be baptized and that was when she spoke of the joy that was overwhelming her.
Claudine began working with a group of women herself, and after about six months they accepted Jesus and called me to come and baptize them. I went with Claudine and those people to the lake. I taught her how to baptize by baptizing the first one. I told her to do the same and she baptized the others. After that she continued to reach many people and now she has started six house churches in that sector where she is ministering. Her joy continues to flow out!

Thank you for an amazing 8 days of training in Nairobi

Consider this recipe: movement-leaders from five different nations, all in one place, the right training material for discussion, an excellent environment for collaborating of ideas, and a specialized trainer in impacting Muslim people groups.
The result: total success (thanks so much to all of you). Comments from participants: We have never had a higher level of training before. We can take and use this immediately. These are practical tools for building loving relationships with all people including Muslims. Thank you to everyone who has supported this conference.
Our next stop is the school/orphanage in Kenya and then a week training missionaries in China!
With love,
Roger & Brooks
