What You Miss When You Read the Gospels

“If you don’t want to buy my new book, we can still be friends and stuff. It’ll be awkward, sure, but still friends.”
~ Brant Hansen #tishumor
We’ve just released the 113th episode of the Christ is All podcast, and I think it’s among the best.
One of my missions, goals, and purposes is to transform the well-worn, familiar stories of the Bible from one dimensional, black & white, mono audio into 3D, High Definition, Technicolor with surround sound!
That’s precisely what I’ve sought to do again in my newest offering, The Day I Met Jesus: The Revealing Diaries of Five Women from the Gospels, with Mary DeMuth.
Dr. Michael Brown recently interviewed Mary and me on his show. In it, we gave some examples of what we so often miss when we read the Gospels, and how to bring them to life again. But more important, how can encounter the Jesus of the Gospels anew and afresh in our Bibles.
You can listen to the episode in one of the following ways:
iTunes (Apple phones)
BeyondPod (Android phones)
For those of you who are addicted to the “crack” bookstore (Amazon), let me encourage you that the book is presently at a 50% discount from Parable.com. That’s a better price than Amazon. PLUS, you’ll get some never-before-released messages I delivered in the past along with some eBooks from both Mary and me.
(Some of you wanted the Kindle version so you bought bought the Kindle edition from Amazon, but then bought the print version from Parable to give to a friend. Thanks for doing this as it helps support the book. Plus you’ll be blessed with the complimentary resources and you’ll make a friend happy in the process.) ;-)
Given a listen to the the podcast episode – it’s under 18 minutes long – and let me know what stood out to you the most.
