Dear LK10 Family,
In
this email, I want to let you know about two books we recommend and an
opportunity for training on "Starting Movements Among Your Muslim
Neighbors"...
"The Black Swan Effect" by Felicity Dale (and others, including Peg Hijar)
The Black Swan Effect: A Response to Gender Hierarchy in the Church.
This book presents a vision for what can happen as men and women work
together in the Kingdom of God. The authors (both male and female)
encourage men to champion women as co-laborers and partners in the
harvest. They give women permission and inspiration to follow the Lord -
to reach their own full potential and encourage others to fulfill god's
call.
Felicity
(and her husband, Tony) has been a good friend for many years as well
as a leader in the house church movement in the US and around the world.
I enthusiastically recommend this book for all house church leaders! In
the video below, I interview Felicity about how this book came about
and how it will be important for the house church movement. (You can
order your copy through Amazon.)

"Intentional: In Jesus name we play" by Steve Holt, Sr.
Here's
a totally different kind of book (this one is fiction) but one that
will also be of interest to house church people. Trey Glass makes
millions a year playing professional basketball, yet he chooses to live
like his poor neighbors in a depressed part of Memphis. And, he starts a
house church there! This book is also available through Amazon.
In the video below, Jordan Bunch interviews his friend, Steve Holt, who is the author of this novel. Click on the link (not the photo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_QAoUsTIHo&feature=youtu.be
